Role Description The Owner role at Tare Zameen Foundation is a full-time, on-site position based in Sonipat, responsible for overall leadership, governance, and strategic direction of the organization. The Owner will oversee program planning and implementation across education, women’s empowerment, health awareness, environmental conservation, and relief activities.
Key responsibilities include guiding fundraising and donor relations, managing budgets and resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with staff, volunteers, and partners, monitoring impact, and continuously improving initiatives to better serve marginalized communities.
The Owner will also represent the foundation in public forums, build collaborations with government bodies and NGOs, and foster a culture of transparency, inclusion, and ethical practice.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in non-profit management, social work, or community development, with a solid understanding of issues related to children, women, and marginalized groups.
- Strong leadership, people management, and team-building abilities, including experience working with diverse stakeholders such as staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners.
- Proficiency in strategic planning, program design, and impact evaluation, with the ability to set clear goals and monitor outcomes.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, donor engagement, and financial oversight, including budgeting and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advocate for social causes, conduct outreach, and represent the organization in public and media interactions.
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks for trusts and non-profit organizations in India, including compliance and reporting requirements.
- Ability to work in office in Sonipat on a full time basis and to travel as needed for programs, partnerships, and field visits.
- Educational background in Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, Management, or a related field is preferred; significant relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
