About Us

Emani Capital Advisory is a principal-led boutique investment bank executing capital-raise and M&A; mandates across sectors, with particular depth in pharma-biotech and deep tech. The firm advises founders and companies on sub-$100M transactions, India-domestic and India–US cross-border, from Pre-Series A through buyout. Its principals carry execution heritage from senior cross-border pharma transactions, and every mandate is led from first engagement to close by the principal who signs it — clients deal with the decision-maker, not a coverage layer.

ECA is expanding its origination capability against a live mandate book aggregating in excess of $250M. The firm is engaging an Origination Partner to strengthen the top of its capital-raise funnel: warm, qualified access between live mandates and the investors positioned to commit to them. This is a senior relationship role for a person whose investor network is already built and already trusted; it is not a coverage-building seat.

The mandate of the role The Origination Partner is responsible for one outcome: converting live ECA mandates into warm first meetings with the right check-writers. In practice, that means:

- Securing curated, sector-matched access across PE, VC, family office, AIF, and HNI capital, at the level of the named partner or principal who commits capital rather than the institution's front desk.
- Providing ECA with an early, candid read on investor appetite, fit, and timing ahead of a process, so that raises run tighter and faster.
- Owning the investor relationship while ECA owns execution — a clean division of labour, with origination attributed to and flowing through the firm.

Performance is assessed on a single axis:



the quality and speed of qualified first meetings. The role does not carry execution, process-management, or negotiation responsibility.

What the role requires The seat presumes a mature network and the judgement to use it well.

Specifically

- A minimum of twelve years building investor relationships directly — in placement, fund investor relations, buy-side principal roles, or senior coverage that has matured into a network of its own. Backgrounds spanning several private equity or venture firms are of particular interest: a career across multiple funds tends to build a broader, more portable set of relationships that is not tied to a single institution.
- Reach measured in people rather than institutions: named partners and principals the candidate can approach directly, not a roster of firms.
- A demonstrable record of introductions that have progressed to term sheets, and the discretion to curate what is introduced — protecting the relationships represented by declining to send what does not fit.
- Cross-sector reach, with genuine depth in pharma, biotech, or healthcare preferred, reflecting the weighting of ECA's current book.

Structure and process

ECA is the advising firm of record on every mandate; investor relationships and origination are attributed to and flow through the firm. Engagement basis and compensation are agreed with the candidate and are subject to counsel review for regulatory and cross-border fit.

The firm evaluates demonstrated access rather than represented access. The process comprises a substantive discussion of the relationships a candidate would bring to a live mandate, and reference verification conducted through investors within the candidate's own stated network.
