We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM OTL (Oracle Time and Labor) & Absence Management Consultant to lead the design, configuration, implementation, and support of Oracle Cloud HCM Time and Labor and Absence Management solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong techno-functional expertise, hands-on implementation experience, and a solid understanding of HCM business processes.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle Time and Labor (OTL)
- Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment for Oracle Cloud Time and Labor.
- Configure Time Entry, Time Calculation, Time Categories, Time Consumer Sets, Time Processing Profiles, and Time Card rules.
- Configure time validation, approval workflows, time calculation rules, and overtime processing.
- Develop and maintain Fast Formulas for complex time and labor requirements.
- Configure integration between OTL, Payroll, Absence, Projects, and other HCM modules.
- Support employee, manager, and administrator time-entry processes.
- Troubleshoot time-card, time calculation, approval, and payroll-transfer issues.
Oracle Absence Management
- Lead implementation and configuration of Oracle Cloud Absence Management.
- Configure absence types, plans, eligibility profiles, accruals, balances, carryover rules, and enrollment processes.
- Configure absence approval workflows and notifications.
- Develop Fast Formulas for complex accrual, eligibility, entitlement, and validation requirements.
- Configure integration between Absence Management, Payroll, Time and Labor, Benefits, and Core HR.
- Support complex leave policies, statutory requirements, and organization-specific absence rules.
- Perform analysis and resolution of absence plan, accrual, balance, and eligibility issues.
Technical / Integration Responsibilities
- Work with technical teams on HDL, HSDL, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, REST/SOAP APIs,
and integrations.
- Analyze and resolve integration and data issues involving OTL and Absence.
- Develop functional design documents.
- Support data conversion, migration, reconciliation, and validation activities.
- Assist with reporting requirements using OTBI and BI Publisher.
Implementation & Project Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of Oracle Cloud HCM implementation, including:
- Requirements and discovery
- Fit-gap analysis
- Solution design
- Configuration
- Unit/System Integration Testing
- User Acceptance Testing
- Data migration
- Cutover and deployment
- Production support
- Prepare configuration workbooks, functional specifications, test scripts, and training materials.
- Conduct demonstrations and knowledge-transfer sessions for business stakeholders.
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Perks, IT, and other functional teams.
- Provide post-production support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7 years of Oracle HCM experience, with significant experience in Oracle Cloud HCM.
- 2–3 or more Oracle Cloud HCM implementations involving OTL and Absence Management.
- Strong understanding of HCM business processes and HR policies.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM security, approvals, roles, and workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Canadian Public Sector HCM implementations is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Canadian statutory and organizational leave requirements.
- Experience integrating OTL and Absence with Oracle Payroll.
- Experience with HDL, HSDL, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, OTBI, REST APIs, and SOAP web services.
- Oracle Cloud HCM certification is preferred.
- Experience working in large, complex enterprise or public-sector environments.
