Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Optometrist and Senior Optometrist role based in Bengaluru. The role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, including refraction, binocular vision assessment, and contact lens evaluation, while maintaining accurate clinical records. Optometrists will counsel customers on lens options, frame selection, and eye health, ensuring a high standard of service and patient satisfaction.

Senior

Optometrists will additionally mentor and guide junior team members, support training initiatives, and help maintain clinical protocols and quality standards across the store. Both levels collaborate closely with store staff to ensure smooth operations,



adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and consistent delivery of Specsmakers’ eye care experience.

Qualifications

- Possess strong clinical optometry skills, including refraction, diagnostic procedures, contact lens fitting, and binocular vision assessment.
- Demonstrate patient-centric skills such as clear communication, counseling on eye health and eyewear choices, and the ability to build trust with diverse customers.
- Show proficiency in using optometric equipment and digital tools for eye examinations, record-keeping, and store-level workflows.
- Exhibit teamwork and leadership capabilities, including collaboration with store staff, mentoring junior optometrists (for Senior Optometrist roles), and contributing to a positive work environment.
- Hold a Diploma, Bachelor’s degree (B.Optom), or Master’s degree in Optometry from a recognized institution; valid registration with relevant professional or regulatory bodies is preferred.
- Bring prior experience in clinical optometry or retail eye care; experience in a high-volume optical or eye care setting is an advantage, especially for Senior Optometrist positions.

- Maintain a strong focus on ethical practice, attention to detail, adherence to safety and hygiene standards, and continuous career development.
