We are looking for Observability Engineer.
The role purpose is to provides 24x7 observability and monitoring services using Splunk, enabling log aggregation, event correlation and tracing, metric tracking, and automated alerting across different hosted platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain the Splunk platform for log aggregation and analysis.
- Configure event correlation, tracing, and metric tracking to support operational intelligence.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated alerting rules.
- Ensure 24x7 availability and performance of the observability platform.
- Support IT teams in onboarding new data sources and use cases into Splunk.
- Continuously tune alerting thresholds to reduce noise and improve incident detection.
- Investigate platform issues and collaborate with teams to resolve monitoring gaps.
- Maintain compliance with data retention and security requirements for log data.
Required Skills & Experience
- Robust hands-on experience administering and configuring Splunk (or similar SIEM/observability tools).
- Experience with log aggregation, event correlation, and distributed tracing concepts.
- Ability to build dashboards, reports,
and alerting rules (SPL proficiency).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and application landscapes for effective monitoring.
- Scripting skills for automation of onboarding and configuration tasks.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a 24x7 operational environment
