Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Motor Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Hosur. The role involves designing and developing motors and mechanical components for two- and three-wheeler products, including concept creation, detailed design, and validation. The engineer will prepare and review 3D models and 2D drawings, perform tolerance analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, testing, and sourcing to ensure design feasibility and quality.

Responsibilities include supporting prototype build, resolving design issues, optimizing performance,



cost, and reliability, and implementing design changes based on test feedback and field data. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement, adherence to industry and company standards, and documentation of design processes and specifications.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering, with experience in motor or powertrain design for automotive or related industries.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting, and familiarity with GD&T; and tolerance analysis.
- Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (casting, machining, stamping, assembly), and design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Knowledge of vehicle systems, thermal and structural considerations, and performance optimization for motors and mechanical components.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant industry standards and regulations, and use engineering calculations and basic simulation tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and production personnel.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; experience in two- or three-wheeler design is an advantage.

- Familiarity with product development lifecycle, documentation practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
