We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Medical Biller to join our Medical Billing team. This role is ideal for candidates with 2–3 years of experience in medical billing who are eager to build their career in the US healthcare industry.

The Junior Medical Biller will be responsible for preparing and submitting insurance claims, verifying patient information and insurance eligibility, following up on unpaid claims, assisting with denial management, and ensuring accurate billing in accordance with payer guidelines.

Objectives of this role

Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility before claim submission.

Prepare, review, and submit accurate medical claims using billing software.

Review patient billing information and identify missing or inaccurate details.

Process insurance claims and monitor claim status.

Follow up on unpaid or pending claims with insurance companies.

Assist in denial management by reviewing rejected claims and resubmitting corrected claims.





Resolve billing discrepancies and payment-related issues.

Work with patients regarding outstanding balances and payment arrangements when required.

Maintain accurate billing records and update reports and spreadsheets.

Ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and company billing procedures.

Adapt to new billing software updates and process improvements.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate revenue cycle operations.

Required skills and qualifications

- 2–3 years of experience in Medical Billing, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), or a related healthcare process.
- Basic understanding of Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR).
- Familiarity with medical billing workflows and insurance claim processing.
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding concepts.
- Good understanding of insurance verification and denial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft 365.
- Good typing speed and data entry accuracy.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team workplace.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and billing systems.
- Ability to work from the Hyderabad office (HITEC City).

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in any discipline.
- Familiarity with healthcare billing software or EMR/EHR systems.
- Basic understanding of US healthcare and insurance processes.
