Job Overview
We are seeking an engineer with strong hands-on experience in ANSYS and SolidWorks, with a greater focus on CAE/simulation and engineering analysis.
The candidate will work on a variety of product-development projects and will be involved in converting concepts into 3D designs, performing engineering simulations, optimizing designs, and supporting prototype and manufacturing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CAE/ANSYS simulations for mechanical, structural, fluid-flow, thermal, acoustic, and other engineering applications as required.
- Set up simulations including geometry, meshing, material properties, boundary conditions, loads, solver settings, and post-processing.
- Analyse and interpret simulation results and provide practical design recommendations.
- Perform design optimization and comparative studies based on simulation results.
- Develop and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed 2D engineering/manufacturing drawings.
- Work on sheet-metal, plastic/moulded, machined, and other mechanical components.
- Support concept development, prototyping, testing, and design improvements.
- Use SolidWorks PDM for CAD data and revision management.
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, manufacturing,
and other engineering teams.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for simulation and engineering activities.
- Learn and apply current simulation methods and engineering tools for different product-development requirements.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of practical experience in ANSYS/CAE and mechanical engineering.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals such as mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
- Hands-on experience with relevant ANSYS tools such as ANSYS Workbench, Fluent, Mechanical, Meshing, or equivalent.
- Good working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D modelling, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to independently set up, run, troubleshoot, and interpret simulations.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing and design-for-manufacturing principles is an advantage.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Ability to read and understand designs and schematics
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
