Role Description The Mathematics Faculty will deliver high-quality, child-centered mathematics instruction to school-age learners, aligned with Bal Raksha Bharat’s mission of equitable education. This full-time, on-site role is based in Rajasthan, India, and involves planning and teaching lessons in mathematics and related subjects, assessing learning outcomes, and providing academic support to students from diverse backgrounds. The faculty member will design and adapt curriculum materials to meet varying learning needs, integrate contextual and practical examples, and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining student records, collaborating with other educators and program staff,
participating in training and community outreach related to education, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The role may also involve engaging with parents, caregivers, and local stakeholders to strengthen children’s continued participation in education.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics suitable for school and higher-secondary level teaching.
- Working knowledge of Physics and Statistics to support interdisciplinary learning and integrated curriculum delivery.
- Experience in Curriculum Development, including lesson planning, learning assessments, and adaptation for diverse learning needs.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline; a B.Ed. or formal teacher training is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience with children or adolescents, ideally in low-resource or community-based educational settings.
- Ability to communicate mathematical concepts clearly, encourage inquiry-based learning, and manage classrooms in a gender-sensitive and inclusive manner.
- Proficiency in English and local languages used in Rajasthan, along with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, communities, and stakeholders.
