Role Description The Marchandiser role at Lumens India is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Kolkata Area. In this role, the professional coordinates between design, production, and client teams to ensure that leather and fashion products meet specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing order processes, preparing and monitoring production schedules, tracking samples and approvals, and maintaining accurate documentation for each project.

The Marchandiser collaborates with suppliers and internal departments to optimize cost,



quality, and lead times, while addressing any issues that may affect timely shipment. This role also involves analyzing market requirements, supporting risk management frameworks for margin and technical security, and contributing to continuous process improvements aligned with company values.

Qualifications

- Strong merchandising skills in fashion or leather goods, including order management, sampling coordination, and production follow-up.
- Experience in vendor and supplier coordination, with the ability to negotiate timelines, pricing, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in documentation, data tracking, and use of basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, GWS, presentation tools, email communication).
- Knowledge of quality control processes, compliance standards, and basic understanding of manufacturing workflows.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with design, sourcing, and production teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and deadline-driven execution.
- Analytical mindset for cost analysis, margin protection, and process improvement within the supply chain.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in leather, accessories, or apparel manufacturing will be an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Greater Kolkata Area and collaborate
