Job Title: Manager - Uniformity

Location: Chennai Office

Reports to (Position): Divisional Head - PCR Technology

Department/Function: Plant Technology (PCR)

Purpose of the Job: Responsible for establishment of tyre uniformity yields as per targets for the new products

Co-ordination for sustenance of Uniformity yields.

Process tuning for improvement of tyre uniformity values and reduction of standard deviation

Provide knowledge based support for trouble shooting and improvement.

Major Responsibilities

1. Prepare MSS/IPS/Setup parameters
2. Certification of uniformity machine for reliability
3. Establish current Equipment for uniformity checking
4. Track uniformity trend and initiate corrective actions.
5. Initiate Product and equipment improvement activities.
6.



Provide knowledge based support to BUs for uniformity improvement
7. Track process deviations and support corrective actions.
8. Coordinate uniformity improvement trials at various production processes
9. Support calibration studies, tooling studies, LFD checks etc.
10. Co-ordinate periodic repeatability studies in TU machines
11. Provide knowledge based support to BU for trouble shooting, efficiency improvement, scrap/waste reduction, etc.
12. Co-ordinate cycle time reduction projects
13. Provide training to team members
14. Prepare the secondary control plan /Work instruction

Skills:

1. Set up for tyre uniformity machine
2. Trouble shootingfor tyre non uniformity
3. Tuning of process parameters for uniformity yield improvement

Relevant Experience: 12 - 15 Years Education Qualification(s): B.E or B. Tech. Rubber/Polymer/Mechanical
