Educational Qualification

- B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation Engineering
- OR Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering

Experience

- B.Tech/B.E.: 6–8 years
- Diploma: 8–10 years
- Relevant experience in the FMCG industry, preferably Biscuits/Bakery/Food Manufacturing.

Desired Competencies
- Hands-on experience in packing machine maintenance and preventive maintenance implementation.
- Strong knowledge of critical machines, utilities, spares, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Strong problem-solving and breakdown-analysis skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Positive vendor management, negotiation, and spare-parts management skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, TPM, AIB, ISO 22000, and ISO 45001 practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and checklists to ensure machine availability and achieve productivity targets.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance activities carried out by external agencies and ensure timely procurement of required spares.
- Optimize and maintain critical spare-parts inventory.
- Ensure timely closure of safety and food-safety audit points in compliance with HACCP requirements.




- Prepare maintenance budgets and finalize AMC requirements for critical machines.
- Monitor and control M&R;, power, water, and HSD costs within approved budgets.
- Implement manufacturing excellence practices such as 5S, TPM, AIB, ISO 22000, and ISO 45001.
- Prepare daily reports for maintenance activities, cost tracking, M&R;, power, water consumption, and equipment operating time.
- Coordinate material planning and ensure timely procurement to meet production requirements.
- Analyze breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities within defined timelines while controlling M&R; expenditure.
- Manage vendors effectively, including negotiation, performance monitoring, and service coordination.
- Train junior assistants, operators, and technicians to ensure optimum machine operating conditions.
- Ensure strict adherence to food-safety requirements on machines and shop floors.
- Verify equipment working conditions and ensure proper shutdown, cleaning, and maintenance procedures are followed.
- Drive technology upgrades and automation initiatives to reduce equipment downtime and improve engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with Production and other functions to improve productivity, reduce downtime, ensure compliance, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
