Logistics Executive is a critical cross-functional role within this operating setting. The position combines packing planning and execution with inventory coordination, shipment readiness, export documentation, logistics coordination and EXIM administration. The individual is expected to ensure that finished goods are packed accurately, materials are planned and verified, documentation is complete, and shipments are dispatched on time.
Role Details
A. Packing Operations & Control
· Coordinate finished goods packing as per customer packing manuals, approved samples, purchase orders and shipment requirements.
· Prepare and maintain detailed Packing Instructions for every customer, style and product.
· Ensure Packing Instructions clearly cover product folding and placement, individual polybag requirements, tissue paper, silica gel, stickers, labels, hangtags and other components.
· Define carton quantity, assortment, carton dimensions, weight limits, master carton marking, barcode and SKU requirements.
· Create and maintain Video SOPs for packing operations to ensure clear visual standards for operators and supervisors.
· Ensure Packing MRP accuracy by reviewing packing material requirements against the approved BOM, customer packing instructions, shipment quantity, packing ratio,
assortment and required contingency quantities.
· Cross-check Packing MRP with Stores/Inventory after the packing material indent is raised.
· Ensure required packing materials are available, stock quantities are accurate, shortages are identified in advance and excess or duplicate requirements are avoided.
· Coordinate with Stores, Production, Merchandising, Quality and Purchase to ensure all packing materials are available before the packing start date.
· Conduct packing readiness checks before shipment, confirming that the correct materials, labels, cartons and documentation are available.
· Verify packing quality and compliance through regular floor checks and ensure deviations are corrected immediately.
· Coordinate cartonization and shipment planning, ensuring correct quantities, assortments, carton counts and shipment-wise packing segregation.
· Maintain packing standards and continuously improve packing efficiency by reducing material wastage, rework, packing errors and shipment delays.
B. Logistics & EXIM Responsibilities
· Prepare export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, COO, BL/AWB instructions, FEMA and LUT documentation where applicable.
· Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, courier companies and other logistics service providers.
· Track imports of trims, hardware, packing materials and raw materials.
· Maintain export/import trackers and payment trackers.
· Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Stores, Purchase, Finance and Quality.
· Ensure on-time dispatches and accurate customer documentation.
· Monitor freight costs, courier expenses and logistics KPIs.
· Maintain a complete document archive and ensure statutory and customer compliance.
· Track shipment status from dispatch until final delivery and proactively escalate delays.
· Coordinate with customers and logistics partners regarding shipment documentation, delivery schedules and dispatch requirements.

Critical Responsibility Statement The Executive shall be responsible for ensuring that packing instructions, Packing MRP, packing material indents, available inventory, actual packing requirements and shipment quantities are fully cross-checked and aligned before packing begins. Any material shortage, excess requirement or discrepancy must be identified and escalated before it impacts production or shipment schedules.
Role Expectation
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role requiring strong coordination, attention to detail, documentation discipline and operational ownership. The successful candidate must be capable of working closely with the packing floor, Stores, Production, Merchandising, Quality, Purchase, Finance, customers, CHA agents and logistics service providers. The role requires the individual to take ownership from packing planning and material readiness through final dispatch and shipment documentation.
