Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position- ANRF Funded Project

Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in my lab in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics, funded by the ANRF Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PM-ECRG), Government of India.

Project Title:

Smart Fluid Interfaces: Stability and Control of Deformed Spherical and Toroidal Drops in Viscous Flow

Project

Description: The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research for the understanding and controlling the behavior of complex fluid interfaces, particularly deformed spherical and toroidal droplets in viscous flows. The research combines fluid mechanics, applied mathematics, and computational simulations to address fundamental challenges in multiphase flow systems.

Duration: 0.5 year + 1 year + 1 year (extensions are subject to satisfactory performance).

Eligibility: M.Sc. or M.Tech in Applied

Mathematics or a closely related discipline that aligns with Computational fluid dynamics and project requirements.

Minimum 65% marks or CGPA of 7.0/10 or above.

CSIR-UGC NET or

GATE qualification is mandatory.

Desirable

Experience: Exposure to any (one or more) of the topics:



Droplet Dynamics and Interfacial Flows, Stability and Control of Complex Fluid Interfaces, Spherical and Toroidal Droplet Deformation, Computational Modeling and Numerical Simulations, Microfluidics and Multiphase Flow Systems, Scientific Data Analysis and Visualization.

Desired Skills

- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Scientific Computing and Numerical Methods
- Programming in Python/MATLAB/C++/FORTRAN
- Solid analytical and mathematical aptitude
