About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Design Engineering Intern to join our UAV R&D; team. The intern will support the design and development of drone frames, mechanical components, payload systems, and other UAV assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in 3D CAD modelling and mechanical design of UAV components and assemblies.
- Create and modify 2D drawings, manufacturing drawings, and technical documentation.
- Develop drone frames, arms, mounts, brackets, payload mechanisms, and other mechanical parts.
- Support prototype development, assembly, testing, and design improvements.
- Take measurements of existing components and create accurate CAD models.
- Assist in DFM/DFA and component optimization for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with R&D;, electronics, manufacturing, and testing teams.
- Maintain CAD files, BOMs, drawings, and revision records.
- Support engineering calculations and basic design analysis when required.

Preferred Software Skills

Mandatory / Preferred

- Siemens NX CAD – Preferred
- SolidWorks – Preferred
- AutoCAD – Positive to have
- Basic knowledge of ANSYS / FEA – Good to have

Required Technical Skills

- Basic understanding of Engineering Drawing and GD&T;
- Knowledge of mechanical design principles




- Basic understanding of materials such as Aluminium, Carbon Fiber, FRP, and engineering plastics
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal, 3D printing, and composite manufacturing
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Automobile Engineering
- Related engineering disciplines

Who Can Apply

- Students or recent graduates interested in UAV, drone, aerospace, and mechanical product development
- Candidates with academic or personal CAD projects will be preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in NX CAD or SolidWorks will have an advantage.
