Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java with IBM Sterling OMS Lead with 10+ years of overall experience and strong hands-on expertise in Java development, microservices, and Order Management Systems. The candidate must have deep practical experience with IBM Sterling OMS and should be capable of leading technical solutions across order processing, inventory, sourcing, and fulfillment workflows.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead design, development, configuration, customization, and integration of IBM Sterling OMS solutions.
- Develop scalable applications using Java 8/11/17+, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Configure and customize Sterling OMS components including APIs, User Exits, Agents, Services, Pipelines, and business rules.
- Design and implement microservices-based solutions and enterprise integrations.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to understand order management and fulfillment requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Design and implement integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and messaging platforms.
- Support end-to-end order processing, inventory management, sourcing, and fulfillment workflows.

Mandatory Skills & Experience The following skills are mandatory and must be clearly demonstrated in the candidate's resume:

- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- Strong hands-on Java development experience with Java 8/11/17+.
- Deep hands-on experience with IBM Sterling OMS — this is a mandatory requirement.




- Robust knowledge of Sterling OMS APIs, User Exits, Agents, Services, Pipelines, and configuration/customization.
- Practical experience in Order Management System workflows, including:
- Order processing
- Inventory management
- Order sourcing
- Fulfillment
- Shipment/order lifecycle
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of J2EE and Object-Oriented Design.
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise messaging platform such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Strong experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and guide development teams.

Good to Have
- Experience with Manhattan OMS.
- Experience in event-driven architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization.
- Experience with performance tuning and production support.
- Experience working in large-scale retail/e-commerce order management environments.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a strong Java technical lead with genuine hands-on Sterling OMS expertise, rather than a candidate who has only worked around OMS from an integration or support perspective. Sterling OMS experience should be clearly visible in the candidate's recent project experience. Candidates without hands-on IBM Sterling OMS experience should not be considered for this role.

Interview / Screening Process

- Sterling OMS Screening: OMS-specific screening questions and one technical round.
- Java Technical Round: Technical proficiency assessment by the Java panel.
