Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Investment Associate – AIF role based in Mumbai. As a founding member of the fund's investment team, you'll support the evaluation and execution of investment opportunities, including financial modeling, investment analysis, and due diligence on potential portfolio companies and instruments.
Responsibilities include monitoring existing investments, preparing periodic reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, and assisting in the development of investment strategies aligned with fund objectives. You'll work closely with senior team members, participate in investor communications, and coordinate with legal, compliance,
and operations teams to ensure regulatory adherence and efficient transaction execution — while also aligning with the group's existing NBFC and fintech platform teams.
This role carries SEBI's mandated certification requirement for key personnel on an AIF's investment team, making it a strong launchpad for candidates early in their AIF/fund management careers.
Requirements
- NISM Series XIX-C (Alternative Investment Fund Managers) certification — mandatory and currently valid
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative field
- 0–2 years of experience; strong freshers with the certification are encouraged to apply
- Foundational understanding of capital markets, investment products, and fund structures
- Working knowledge of financial modeling — valuation, scenario analysis, cash flow forecasting
- Ability to interpret financial statements and market data to support analysis
- Exposure to or coursework in due diligence processes (qualitative and quantitative)
- Strong proficiency in Excel; familiarity with financial analysis or presentation tools
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of AIF regulations, SEBI guidelines, and the Indian investment ecosystem is a plus
- High integrity, ownership, and professional conduct
Positive to Have
- Prior internship exposure to PE, VC, or AIF operations
- CFA/CA/FRM (pursuing or completed) — advantage, not required
- Familiarity with NBFC or fintech lending environments
