Internship Opportunities: High-Altitude UAV Development

We are looking for three engineering interns to support the development of an advanced high-altitude, long-endurance fixed-wing UAV.

We are seeking smart, hands-on and highly motivated candidates who enjoy solving real engineering problems and working in a lean, quick-moving development environment.

Open Profiles

1. UAV Aerostructures & Rapid Prototyping

- CAD modelling of airframes, structures and assemblies
- Lightweight structural design and material selection
- Rapid prototyping using composites, carbon fibre, foam and 3D printing
- Manufacturing drawings, prototype fabrication and assembly
- Ground-test and flight-test preparation
- Coordination with aerodynamics, propulsion and avionics teams

Preferred experience: SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360 or similar, RC aircraft, aeromodelling, composites, 3D printing, SAE Aero, Design/Build/Fly or UAV projects. 2. UAV Avionics, Embedded Systems & Controls

- Flight-controller and onboard-computer integration
- Embedded-system development and hardware bring-up
- GPS, IMU, sensor and telemetry integration
- Communication and RF hardware integration
- Payload integration and onboard electronics architecture
- Ground-control systems, system testing and hardware debugging
- Support for flight testing and system validation

Preferred experience: PX4, ArduPilot, MAVLink, STM32, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Jetson, C/C++, Python, embedded Linux, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, telemetry or robotics/UAV projects. 3. UAV Aerodynamics, CFD & Flight Dynamics

- Aerodynamic design and optimisation
- CFD analysis and aerodynamic database development
- Wing, tail and control-surface sizing
- Aircraft performance analysis for climb, cruise and endurance
- Static and dynamic stability analysis
- Flight-dynamics modelling and control-authority assessment




- Support for wind-tunnel and flight-test activities

Preferred experience: ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, SU2, XFLR5, AVL, OpenVSP, MATLAB, Python, aircraft design, aerodynamics or flight-mechanics projects. Who We Are Looking For

- Bachelor's or Master's students or recent graduates in relevant engineering disciplines
- Candidates may undertake the role alongside their ongoing Bachelor's or Master's programme, subject to sufficient availability and commitment
- Hands-on experience through aeromodelling, UAV, robotics, SAE Aero, Design/Build/Fly or similar student teams is highly valued
- Strong analytical and practical problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Candidates who have actually designed, built, tested, programmed or flown systems are particularly encouraged to apply

A strong project portfolio and demonstrated practical ability will be valued more than academic grades alone. Internship DetailsDuration: 4 - 6 months

Location: India

Mode: Flexible / Hybrid, with physical participation required for relevant prototype integration and testing activities

There is a possibility of conversion into a full-time engineering role following the internship, based on performance, ownership and project requirements.
