About CoachbaseCoachbase is building a technology-enabled health and fitness platform that combines personalized coaching, nutrition, health tracking and physician-led care.

We are now building Coachbase GLP, a medically supervised metabolic health and weight-management program designed to combine appropriate medical treatment with ongoing nutrition, lifestyle and behavioural support.

We are looking for an Internal Medicine Physician to join our clinical team and help us deliver safe, high-quality care to patients using the platform.

About the roleAs an Internal Medicine Physician at Coachbase GLP, you will be responsible for the clinical evaluation, treatment decisions, prescriptions and medical follow-up of patients enrolled in our metabolic health program.

You will independently assess each patient's medical history, current health status, medications, investigations and treatment goals, and determine whether pharmacological weight management is clinically appropriate.

You will work closely with our product and coaching team, while retaining independent clinical responsibility for medical decisions.

This is a remote, part-time / consulting role and is particularly suited to physicians who are interested in metabolic health, obesity medicine, preventive healthcare and technology-enabled care.

What you will doPatient assessment

- Conduct structured telemedicine consultations with patients.
- Review medical history, existing conditions, medications and allergies.
- Review relevant blood tests, investigations, vitals and health data.
- Assess weight-management history, lifestyle factors and relevant metabolic risk factors.
- Evaluate whether the patient is clinically suitable for the program.
- Identify contraindications, precautions, drug interactions and clinical red flags.
- Determine when additional investigations, in-person evaluation or specialist referral is appropriate.

Medical treatment
- Make independent clinical decisions regarding the patient's treatment.




- Determine whether GLP-1-based pharmacological treatment is appropriate for an individual patient.
- Prescribe medication when clinically appropriate and within your professional judgment.
- Establish and modify treatment plans based on the patient's clinical response.
- Monitor treatment effectiveness, tolerability, adherence and relevant clinical parameters.
- Counsel patients regarding medication use, expected effects, potential adverse effects and appropriate escalation of care.

Follow-up and ongoing care
- Conduct scheduled follow-up consultations.
- Review changes in weight, symptoms, adherence and relevant health markers.
- Assess treatment response and make clinically appropriate adjustments.
- Identify patients who require further medical investigation or specialist care.
- Coordinate with Coachbase's nutrition and health-coaching team.
- Provide clinical guidance when medical issues arise during the patient's journey.

Clinical documentation and safety
- Maintain accurate clinical records and consultation notes.
- Document assessments, prescriptions, treatment decisions and follow-up plans.
- Follow applicable professional, prescribing and telemedicine requirements.
- Work within Coachbase's clinical protocols and safety framework while maintaining independent clinical judgment.
- Help identify clinical edge cases and improve clinical protocols as the program evolves.

RequirementsRequired
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine, Internal Medicine or Medicine.
- Valid registration to practice medicine in India.
- Solid clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
- Good understanding of adult medicine and common metabolic conditions.




- Strong communication and patient counselling skills.
- Comfortable conducting consultations through telemedicine.
- Comfortable using digital tools and electronic medical records.

PreferredExperience in one or more of the following will be an advantage:
- Obesity and weight management
- Diabetes and prediabetes
- Metabolic health
- Hypertension
- Dyslipidaemia
- Lifestyle medicine
- Preventive healthcare
- GLP-1 therapies
- Semaglutide or tirzepatide
- Telemedicine or digital health

GLP-1 experience is preferred but not mandatory.
