Role Description The Injection Molding Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Manesar. This role is responsible for setting up, optimizing, and monitoring injection molding processes for medical device components, including machine parameter adjustments, tool changes, and troubleshooting production issues. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions, mold qualifications, and process validations, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Daily activities include analyzing production data, reducing scrap and cycle times,
supporting preventive maintenance activities, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves documenting procedures, training production staff on molding best practices, and working closely with quality and engineering teams to maintain consistent, high-quality output.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, and materials used in medical device manufacturing.
- Experience with process setup, optimization, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Understanding of quality systems, process validation, and documentation in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO 13485, GMP).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, mold designs, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in basic data analysis for process control, yield improvement, and root cause investigation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Relevant engineering degree or technical diploma in plastics, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
- Prior experience in medical device or high-precision manufacturing is an advantage.
