Role:

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors

Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and e-commerce software tools

Create quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests

Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products

Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests

Understand scope of HVAC work to bid

Communicate with the engineering department on new and current projects

Prepare comprehensive job take-offs, ensuring accuracy in project scope, materials, and specifications.

Requirements:

Knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to negotiate effectively

Knowledge of bidding software

Strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to prioritize work assignments

Ability to develop budgets and time lines

Multi-tasker and Organized

Great customer service and a team attitude

Attention to detail an asset

Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in HVAC estimating

Works well on own or in a team setting

Self-starter with strong work ethic

Knowledgeable in building and construction.
