Role Description The Head of Quality Assurance is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading the quality function across Jana Care’s products, processes, and operations. This role oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include establishing QA policies, managing quality audits, supervising quality control activities, and analyzing quality metrics to drive corrective and preventive actions.

The Head of Quality Assurance collaborates closely with R&D;, manufacturing, clinical, regulatory, and product teams to embed quality into the product lifecycle and support successful launches.



The role also involves building and mentoring the QA team, fostering a culture of accountability, risk management, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- Strong Quality Management and Quality Assurance skills, with experience designing and leading quality systems in healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, or related regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience in Quality Control activities, including testing, inspection, and monitoring processes to ensure product and process conformity.
- Proficiency in Quality Auditing, including planning and conducting internal and external audits, and managing findings and remediation plans.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret quality data, identify trends, assess risks, and drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience leading quality teams and cross-functional initiatives, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, ISO 9001, GxP, or similar), and experience supporting compliance and certifications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, prioritize multiple projects, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, global, and team-oriented environment.
