: Head of Manufacturing & Operations

Location: Thane

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Manufacturing & Operations to lead our plant operations, shop floor fabrication, and project execution teams. This role oversees the end-to-end manufacturing of custom water treatment skids, filtration units, pressure vessels, and modular process plants. The ideal candidate will combine heavy fabrication expertise with deep operational knowledge of water treatment systems to direct a skilled workforce of around 30 personnel, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to international quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations & Skid Fabrication Leadership

• Direct daily shop floor operations across machining, heavy structural/piping fabrication, assembly, blasting, and protective coating departments.
- Allocate and optimize shop floor resources (fit-up, welding, piping, and painting crews) and manage yard spacing for prefabricated spools, skids, tanks, and modular structures.
- Execute post-fabrication processes including Hydro testing, Thermal Spray Aluminium (TSA),

Pickling & Passivation, FBE coating, and Nitrogen leak testing.

2. Project Execution & Erection Planning

- Develop comprehensive Project Execution Plans (PEP), resource mobilization plans,

manpower/equipment histograms, and project S-curves.
- Drive daily, weekly, and monthly production targets to meet strict delivery milestones for industrial and municipal water treatment projects.
- Review ISOMETRICS, equipment GA drawings, structural layouts, and extract accurate Bill of

Materials (BOM)



prior to shop floor issuance.
- Oversee site erection preparation, heavy lifting/rigging plans, load-out, weighing, and sea-

fastening of heavy skids and pipe rack modules.

3. Quality Assurance, Compliance & TPI Management

- Serve as the focal point for QA/QC operations, maintaining full compliance with ASME (U, U2,

U3), API, PESO (SMPV Rules), Shell DEP, and Aramco specifications.
- Coordinate stage-wise and final inspections as per QAP/ITP with Third-Party Inspection agencies (BVI, TÜV, DNV, LR, IR Class).
- Expedite NDE clearances (RT, UT/PAUT, PMI, PWHT, MPI, PT) and manage documentation,

test packs, and line clearances.

4. Supply Chain, Inventory & Material Reconciliation

- Oversee procurement and follow-up for raw materials, special alloys, welding consumables,

and daily shop supplies.
- Manage client-issued materials (MIV/MIR/MIVR) and resolve material shortages for piping spools, subsea/modular skids, and equipment.
- Ensure 100% material reconciliation at the close of every project.

Candidate Qualifications & Technical Skills

- Education: B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, heavy engineering fabrication, or project execution within the Water & Wastewater Treatment, Oil & Gas, or Process Equipment sector.
- Welding Knowledge: Working knowledge of GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), FCAW, SAW, SMAW

(ARC), and Orbital welding.
- Industry Standards: Deep knowledge of codes including ASME, ASTM, API, TEMA, PD5500,

NACE, and PESO standards.
