? Job Title: General Manager – Power Plant Operation & Maintenance

Location: Ramgarh Jharkhand

Department: Power Plant / Utilities

Reports To: Director / COO / Plant Head

Experience: 20 –25 years (including minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role)

? Key Responsibilities:

✅ Operations Management

- Oversee the daily operation of the power plant (thermal, WHRS, CPP, or other).

- Ensure optimal performance, load management, and plant availability.

- Implement operating procedures and performance monitoring systems.

✅ Maintenance Management

- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.

- Ensure minimum downtime and smooth running of all plant equipment (boilers, turbines, generators, ESP, etc.).

- Manage maintenance of auxiliaries like cooling towers, pumps, compressors, transformers, etc.

✅ Team Leadership

- Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and shift-in-charges.





- Conduct regular training and skill development for O&M; staff.

- Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.

✅ Compliance & Safety

- Ensure compliance with all statutory norms (CEA, Factory Act, Pollution Control Board, Electrical Inspector, etc.).

- Conduct regular safety drills and audits (HIRA, JSA, LOTO, etc.).

✅ Cost & Efficiency Management

- Monitor plant efficiency, fuel consumption, heat rate, and auxiliary power.

- Drive energy-saving initiatives and O&M; cost reduction.

- Budgeting and cost control of spares, consumables, and manpower.

✅ Coordination & Reporting

- Liaise with top management, vendors, EPC contractors, and government departments.

- Prepare MIS reports, performance dashboards, and action plans.
