? Unreal Engine Game Developer – Remote Unpaid Volunteer / Internship

WorkshopEdge is an early-stage software startup focused on building creative digital products and game development projects. Our remote team works on creative and interactive experiences while providing aspiring professionals with real-world experience and opportunities to build their portfolios.

We are looking for a Unreal Engine Game Developer to join our game development team and work on our upcoming Egyptian-inspired action game.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement gameplay systems and mechanics using Unreal Engine
- Work with Unreal Engine Blueprints and C++
- Implement character movement, combat, abilities, interactions, and game logic
- Develop enemy AI, combat behaviors, and boss mechanics
- Implement health, damage, stamina, abilities, and other gameplay systems
- Integrate animations, effects, sounds, and other assets into gameplay
- Work with Character, Animation, AI, Physics, and Gameplay systems
- Debug and optimize gameplay features
- Collaborate with game designers, 3D artists, animators, and level designers
- Polish and improve gameplay based on testing and team feedback





Requirements

- Understanding of Unreal Engine
- Understanding of C++
- Understanding of basic game development concepts and gameplay programming
- Familiarity with character controllers, collision, physics, and game logic
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming
- Experience with Unreal Engine projects is a plus, but not mandatory
- Personal projects, prototypes, or game development work are welcome
- Beginners are encouraged to apply
