Job Context

We are seeking an innovative, product-minded Full Stack Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience and a genuine telecom messaging background to join our core engineering team.

This is not a generic web role: you will work directly on the systems that push high volumes of traffic through SMPP binds to carriers and aggregators, and that deliver messages across OTT channels such as WhatsApp Business API, Viber, and Telegram — as well as the React interfaces our customers use to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot that traffic.

The ideal candidate has already shipped or operated an SMS gateway, messaging API, or channel integration in production, understands what breaks at scale (throughput ceilings, DLR mismatches, throttling, retries), and can carry a feature from carrier connection all the way to the customer-facing UI.

Job Responsibilities

- Telecom Messaging Infrastructure: Build, operate, and tune high-throughput SMS gateway services over SMPP v3.4 — bind management (TX/RX/TRX), windowing, throttling, submit/deliver reconciliation, and routing across multiple carriers and aggregators.
- Channel Integrations: Integrate and maintain OTT messaging channels including the WhatsApp Business (Cloud) API, Viber Business Messages, and Telegram, covering template lifecycle, webhooks, media handling, and delivery/read receipts.
- Throughput & Reliability: Sustain and improve TPS targets under load — back-pressure, queue depth management, idempotent retries, graceful degradation, and instrumentation of submit, delivery, and failure rates.
- Frontend Development: Design and build highly responsive, intuitive Single Page Applications (SPAs) using React, ensuring clean state management and optimal client-side performance.
- Backend Engineering: Develop and maintain scalable server-side architecture using Node.js or Python.
- Asynchronous Workflows: Manage high-volume background jobs and message queues using Bull queue (Node.js) or Celery (Python).




- Real-Time Communication: Implement real-time features such as live delivery status and event streaming using WebSockets and event-driven patterns.
- Database Management: Optimize schemas, handle complex data relations, and ensure data integrity using PostgreSQL under high write volume from message and DLR events.
- AI-Assisted Engineering: Actively leverage up-to-date AI tools (such as Claude, Codex, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding, debugging, and architectural planning.
- Customer-Centric Execution: Partner with customers and product stakeholders to unpack user friction points, translating them into technical requirements and clean, functional UI features.
- API Integration: Build and consume secure, low-latency RESTful APIs to connect the React frontend with backend communication services.
- Quality & Reliability: Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment to keep the platform reliable and maintainable.

Educational Requirements

- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree, preferably in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or a closely related technical field.

Experience Requirements

- 2 to 5 years of skilled experience in full stack software development.
- Mandatory: Hands-on production experience with telecom messaging systems — building or operating an SMS gateway, working against SMPP, or integrating a business messaging channel API (WhatsApp Business API, Viber, Telegram, or equivalent).

Additional Requirements

- SMPP Depth: Practical familiarity with SMPP concepts — bind types,



submit_sm and deliver_sm PDUs, delivery receipts, message concatenation and UDH, GSM 7-bit and UCS-2 encoding, and common error/throttling codes.
- Messaging Channels: Working knowledge of at least one business messaging platform (WhatsApp Business API, Viber Business Messages, Telegram) including webhook handling and template or session-window rules.
- Scale Awareness: Demonstrable understanding of what high throughput demands — queueing, rate limiting, connection pooling, and reconciling asynchronous delivery status at volume.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React ecosystems, and modern CSS/frontend tooling.
- Mandatory: Proficient experience using AI coding assistants (Claude, Codex, etc.) as a standard part of your development workflow.
- Proven ability to work closely with customers to understand behavioral requirements and transform real-world problems into clean, functional software.
- Solid grasp of relational databases, version control (Git), and modern web security practices.
- Familiarity with automated testing and a habit of writing testable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to own features end to end.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Gateway Software: Experience with Kannel, Jasmin, or comparable SMSC/gateway software, or having built an SMPP client or server from the protocol spec.
- Carrier Operations: Exposure to aggregator and operator integrations, least-cost routing, sender ID / short code provisioning, or A2P registration and DND compliance.
- Emerging Channels: Familiarity with RCS Business Messaging, or SMS firewall and anti-fraud filtering.
- Voice Technologies: Familiarity with the SIP protocol, IP Telephony, WebRTC, or platforms such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or Kamailio.
- Infrastructure: Working knowledge of deployment pipelines, Virtual Machines (VMs), or container orchestration with Kubernetes.
