Role overview

This role focuses on building scalable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React/NextJS, Node.js, GraphQL), collaborating with senior engineers and designers to deliver responsive frontend experiences and robust backend APIs.

Responsibilities include writing clean code, debugging, participating in code reviews, and optimizing performance. This position offers strong growth potential through hands-on exposure to cloud deployment, database design, and agile practices in a supportive, learning-focused environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist in translating design mockups (Figma) into responsive, functional UI components using React.js/Next.js.
- Support the development and integration of frontend components with backend Node.js APIs.




- Learn to build and maintain basic CRUD features and RESTful endpoints.
- Write clean, maintainable code under the guidance of senior developers.
- Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality.
- Perform basic debugging and troubleshooting across the stack with supervision.
- Assist in writing and executing unit tests under supervision.
- Contribute to documentation for features and processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Learn to work with cloud platforms (AWS) and databases (MongoDB).

Experience

- 1-2 years of hands-on development experience (including internships, personal projects, or bootcamps).
- Basic understanding of full-stack JavaScript development (MERN stack).
- Academic or project experience with React.js, Node.js, and databases.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and development practices.

Requirements

- Foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Basic understanding of React.js concepts (components, state, props).
- Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js framework.
- Awareness of REST API / GraphQL concepts and basic database operations (MongoDB).
- Exposure to version control systems (Git/GitHub).
- Basic understanding of responsive web design principles.
- Willingness to learn and apply frontend frameworks (Tailwind CSS) and design tools (Figma).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Portfolio of academic, personal, or internship projects demonstrating coding ability (GitHub link required).
