- Ensure all accruals, provisions, prepayments, depreciation and recurring entries are booked and reviewed.
- Complete key account reconciliations and resolve open items before the close is finalised.
- Continuously improve close processes to reduce cycle time and enhance accuracy.
- Audit & Compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for statutory, internal, tax and management audits.
- Prepare and review audit schedules, lead schedules and requested documentation (PBC lists).
- Respond to auditor queries, resolve observations and implement agreed corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and support strengthening of the control setting.
- Coordinate timely completion of the annual statutory audit and finalisation of accounts.
- Cost Control
- Monitor and control operating costs against approved budgets, highlighting overruns and driving corrective action.
- Perform cost analysis, identify savings opportunities and support cost-optimisation initiatives.
