The Strategic Opportunity: Financial Leadership

This role is specifically designed for a high-potential finance qualified looking to take significant ownership. You will join as Financial Controller, managing the finance function with high autonomy, reporting to the CFO

- .The Trajectory: You will work closely with executive leadership. By demonstrating consistent control over cash flow, compliance, and reporting, you will play a central role in driving the financial and operational strategy of the company as we scale

.Key Responsibilitie s1. Financial Control & Accounting Operations

- Lead and mentor a dedicated Finance & Accounts team of 4 professionals. Ensure day-to-day accounting hygiene, timely book closure, and zero-error reconciliations
- .Manage end-to-end statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC) and lead the coordination with external auditors to ensure smooth, timely audits

.2. Receivables Management & Escalations (Cash Flow Focus)

- Direct Ownership: Take charge of the collections process. This involves telephonic interaction with client finance teams to expedite payments and resolve billing disputes
- .Senior Intervention: Act as the ultimate escalation authority for severely delayed payments, intervening directly with client stakeholders to resolve complex collection roadblocks and secure funds

Commercial Contracts & Legal Oversight Review, draft, and approve key commercial agreements, including NDAs, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and the general financial/commercial terms within Statements of Work (SOWs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) .4. Business Operations & Partner/Client Management Process Interventions: Monitor end-to-end business workflows in their chronological order, proactively intervening at critical stages to prevent bottlenecks, ensure compliance, and protect margins

- .Commercial Communication: Act as the primary leadership voice in communicating directly with clients and OEMs regarding critical issues related to pricing, delivery challenges, or commercial disputes

.5. Board Reporting & MIS

- Prepare and present the Monthly Financial Dashboard to the Board of Directors
- .Provide variance analysis (Budget vs. Actuals) and actionable insights on profitability, cost control, and cash liquidity

.6. Cross-Functional Leadership & Administration * HR & Admin Advisory: Provide ongoing strategic guidance, support,



and problem-solving for the HR and Administration departments whenever they require senior leadership direction

- .Expanded Scope (Optional/Value Add): For a candidate capable of handling broader responsibility, there is an opportunity to directly oversee facility management, vendor negotiations, and office operations. (Note: This is a mutually agreeable addition for candidates seeking operational leadership experience; it is not mandatory)

.Candidate Profile

- Location (Non-Negotiable): You must be currently based in Mumbai. While we offer a hybrid culture, this is a key leadership role requiring physical presence at our Mumbai HO at least 3 times a week
- .Education: Inter-CA, M.Com, or MBA (Finance). (A Chartered Accountant degree is not mandatory; we value capability over titles)
- .Experience: 10+ years in Finance/Accounts, with significant experience managing a team in a mid-sized private limited company
- .Industry Background: Experience in the IT/Software industry is preferred (familiarity with licensing/recurring revenue).
- .Communication: Strong verbal English skills are essential for effective contract negotiation, client escalations, and Board presentations
