We are a boutique financial research and investment intelligence firm that works with our clients on exclusive and customized M&A; mandates. Our culture is built on hard work, meritocracy, and a relentless commitment to delivering value to our clients. We believe in doing what it takes to meet and exceed expectations—success here means focusing on outcomes, not the clock.
If you’re passionate about making an impact and thrive in a high-energy, no-excuses workplace, this is the place for you.
The firm was founded by a seasoned investment professional with several years of experience conducting detailed financial and investment due-diligence along with investigative research for international alternative investment and M&A; advisory firms. The firm recently secured backing from a US based family office and is looking to scale rapidly over the near future.
In order to support our growth, we are building out a dedicated Transaction Advisory Support practice to serve US-based financial due diligence and quality of earnings (QoE) firms. These firms need a reliable, technically sharp partner who can build databooks, run EBITDA normalization analyses, and support net working capital calculations.
This is a build role. You will be one of the first hires in this practice line, working directly with Indago's founder and leadership to define workflows, quality standards, and eventually build and manage a small team.
What you will do?
- Build and maintain financial databooks from client-provided trial balances, general ledgers, and financial statements
- Perform quality of earnings analysis: identify and quantify EBITDA adjustments (non-recurring items, owner add-backs,
normalization entries, pro forma adjustments)
- Conduct net working capital analysis, including NWC target/peg calculations and trend analysis
- Review and reconcile financial statements against supporting schedules, flagging discrepancies and areas requiring follow-up
- Draft sections of due diligence reports and QoE deliverables for review by the onshore engagement team
- Identify key financial trends, quality-of-earnings risks, and areas warranting deeper diligence
- Collaborate closely with US-based FDD/QoE firm teams (like the OAG-type client) on deliverable timelines and requirements
- Help refine and scale Indago's internal FDD/QoE workflows, templates, and checklists as the practice grows
- Over time, take on direct oversight of junior analysts supporting this workstream
What we are looking for?
- 2-7 years of experience in financial due diligence and quality of earnings in M&A; transactions
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accrual accounting, and common EBITDA adjustments
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CA or CPA strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling, data manipulation, complex formulas); strong PowerPoint skills for deliverable drafting
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Excellent written English; able to translate raw financial data into clear, structured analysis and commentary
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over deliverable quality
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment where processes are still being built
- Prior exposure to US lower-middle-market or PE-backed businesses is a plus, but not required
