Team members work with diverse clients and technology stacks, contributing to impactful data and digital initiatives.
Role Description The Enterprise Technical Analyst is a full time, on-site (Client's place) role based in Mumbai. This role involves analyzing enterprise-level systems and data flows, understanding business requirements, and translating them into technical specifications and solutions.
We are looking for an Enterprise Technical Analyst to own the day-to-day health of a suite of business-critical .NET applications deployed for our insurance client and hosted on Microsoft Azure.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You will be the first and second line of support for these applications, make configuration-level changes, coordinate API integrations with our client's downstream technology partners, work with the cloud service provider on security and scalability items, and present a weekly status review to both business and IT stakeholders.
The role suits someone who enjoys being close to the business, is comfortable being the single point of contact for an application landscape, and can move between a support ticket, a configuration change, an API discussion and a management review in the same day.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Maintenance (L1 / L2)• Serve as the primary L1/L2 support contact for all in-scope .NET applications at the client location.
- Log, triage, prioritise and resolve incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs; escalate L3 items to the development team with complete diagnostic detail.
- Perform configuration-level changes — business rules, master data, workflow parameters, user roles, reference tables and report parameters — without code deployment wherever possible.
- Carry out root cause analysis on recurring issues and drive permanent fixes rather than repeated workarounds.
- Monitor application logs, batch jobs, scheduled tasks and integration queues; act proactively on failures before users report them.
- Maintain and keep current the runbooks, configuration registers, known-error database and support documentation.
API & Integration Coordination• Act as the technical liaison with the client's partner and vendor technology teams for all API-related changes — new endpoints, contract and schema changes, version upgrades,
authentication changes and deprecations.
- Review API specifications, request/response payloads and error handling; assess downstream impact on our applications and raise change requests accordingly.
- Test and validate integrations across environments using tools such as Postman or Swagger, and support UAT with partner teams.
- Track integration issues end to end with external parties until closure.
Cloud Infrastructure (Microsoft Azure)• Monitor application and infrastructure health using Azure Monitor, Application Insights and Log Analytics; interpret alerts and dashboards.
- Coordinate with the cloud service provider or managed services partner for changes relating to security hardening, patching, scaling, backup, disaster recovery and cost optimisation.
- Raise, track and validate infrastructure change requests; participate in change advisory discussions and verify post-change stability.
- Understand and administer routine tasks across Azure App Service, Azure SQL Database, Storage Accounts, Key Vault, API Management and Azure AD / Entra ID access.
- Support release and deployment activities through Azure DevOps pipelines.
Data Compliance & Security• Support the client's data compliance obligations relating to policyholder and claims data — data retention, masking, access controls, audit trails and regulatory reporting requirements (IRDAI guidelines, DPDP Act).
- Coordinate and evidence periodic user access reviews, log reviews and audit requests.
- Track and support closure of findings from vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and internal or external audits.
- Ensure all changes follow the client's approved change management and information security processes.
Stakeholder Management & Reporting• Work directly with business users to understand issues, gather requirements for minor enhancements and communicate resolutions in non-technical language.
- Prepare and present a weekly review to the Business and IT teams covering ticket volumes and ageing, SLA performance, open change requests, integration status, infrastructure and security items, and risks.
- Maintain a clear, current view of the application landscape, dependencies and open items for management reporting.
- Provide user training and knowledge-transfer sessions as required.
Skills and Experience
Technical• 3 – 4 years of hands-on experience supporting or developing applications on the Microsoft .NET stack — C#, ASP.NET / .NET Core, MVC or Web API.
- Knowledge of other Tech Stack will be added advantage specially involving Java, Python etc.
- Front-end working knowledge — JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5 and CSS; exposure to Angular or React is an advantage.
- Strong SQL Server skills — writing and tuning queries, stored procedures, joins and indexes; able to investigate data issues independently.
- Practical experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT and API keys.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services — App Service, Azure SQL, Storage, Key Vault, Application Insights and Azure AD; able to read logs and metrics and act on them.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Git for source control, work item tracking and deployments.
- Understanding of IIS, web application hosting, SSL certificates and basic networking concepts.
Process & Functional• Experience working in an ITIL-aligned support environment — incident, problem, change and service request management.
- Exposure to ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management or Freshservice.
- Understanding of the insurance business — policy administration, underwriting, claims, endorsements, renewals or reinsurance. Strongly preferred; other BFSI experience will be considered.
Behavioural• Confident and professional in direct interaction with business users, client IT teams and third-party vendors.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English; able to write a crisp incident summary and present a weekly deck without hand-holding.
- Ownership mindset — follows items through to closure across organisational boundaries.
- Structured, disciplined approach to documentation and reporting.
- Comfortable working onsite at a client location and available for occasional off-hours support during releases or critical incidents.
Good to Have• Microsoft certifications — AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-204 or equivalent.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
- Experience with insurance platforms or products, or with insurer–partner API ecosystems such as payment gateways, KYC/CKYC, credit bureaus, hospital and TPA networks, or aggregators.
- Exposure to Power BI or SSRS for management reporting.
- Awareness of IRDAI information and cyber security guidelines and the DPDP Act, 2023.
Qualifications
- Strong technical analysis and analytical skills to interpret business requirements and evaluate complex systems.
- Experience in technical support and troubleshooting across enterprise applications or platforms.
- Clear and professional communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with data-driven environments, enterprise systems, and basic concepts in AI/ML or data technologies is an advantage.
- Ability to document processes, create technical reports, and maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in consulting, digital transformation, or enterprise technology projects is preferred.
