A Site Engineer for a fabrication plant manages in office, day-to-day operations, focusing on safety, technical execution, and quality control of structural steel or PEB erection. Key duties include supervising erection teams, interpreting drawings, managing material inventory, ensuring compliance with standards (IS/AISC), and providing daily progress reports. Key Responsibilities

- Site Supervision: Oversee erection of main frames, purlins, and cladding, including scaffolding and crane operations.
- Quality Control: Inspect structural alignment, bolt torqueing, welding quality, and ensure adherence to drawings.
- Material Management: Track inventory, manage unloading of materials, and prevent shortages on site.
- Safety Enforcement: Implement rigid safety protocols (PPE, scaffolding, cranes, working at heights).
- Documentation: Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), material consumption, and safety logs.
- Coordination:



Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project management to resolve issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 2–8+ years in fabrication or heavy structural steel erection.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, AutoCAD, and material planning.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and ability to work under deadlines.
