About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, analytical and business-oriented finance professional to work closely with the CEO and senior leadership on financial planning, business analysis and decision-making.

This is not a traditional accounting role. The person will work cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, HR, Sales, Admin and other teams to track financial requirements, vendor payments, cash flow and business performance, and convert financial data into actionable insights for leadership.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with numbers, people and ambiguity, with strong ownership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & FP&A;

- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Build financial models, projections and scenario analyses.
- Analyze actuals vs. budgets and identify key variances and business drivers.
- Track revenue, costs, margins, cash flow and key financial KPIs.
- Identify financial risks, cost optimization opportunities and business trends.
- Provide actionable financial insights to support business decisions.

Cash Flow & Vendor Payments

- Monitor cash flow and upcoming financial commitments.
- Coordinate with different teams to understand upcoming expenses and vendor payment requirements.
- Consolidate payment requirements and provide leadership with visibility into cash requirements. • Track planned vs. actual payments and proactively highlight gaps or risks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Operations, Procurement, HR, Sales, Admin and other teams on financial matters.
- Collect and validate budgets, forecasts, payment requirements and other financial inputs.
- Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of financial actions.
- Understand the business context behind financial requests and challenge assumptions where required.

CEO & Leadership Reporting





- Prepare MIS, dashboards and management reports for the CEO and senior leadership.
- Present financial performance, forecasts, cash-flow positions and key business insights.
- Highlight risks, trends and areas requiring leadership attention.
- Provide data-backed recommendations for strategic and operational decisions.

Finance Operations

- Support monthly and quarterly financial closing and reporting.
- Ensure accuracy of financial data and management reports.
- Support financial controls and processes.
- Coordinate with accounting teams, auditors and external stakeholders as required.
- Support financial activities related to US and Indian entities.

What We Are Looking For

- 1–5 years of experience in FP&A;, Strategic Finance, Business Finance, Corporate Finance, Finance Business Partnering, Founder’s Office or similar roles.
- Robust understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to independently drive tasks and follow through to closure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to confidently present financial insights to senior leadership.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to understand the business beyond numbers.

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA / PGDM in Finance or equivalent.
- Experience in a startup, SaaS, technology, e-commerce, fintech or multinational environment.
- Experience working with founders, CEOs or senior leadership.
- Exposure to US & Indian financial operations.
- Experience with Zoho Books, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
- Prior experience in Founder’s Office, EIR, Strategic Finance or Chief of Staff roles.
