Dynamics 365 F&O; Technical Developer – ERP Support

About the Role

We are looking for a Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Technical Developer to join an ERP technical support and triage function. This is a hands-on technical position focused on debugging and resolving F&O; support tickets. You will investigate application issues, identify root causes, and provide development solutions where required.

This is not a purely functional support role. Strong development and debugging capability is essential. The role is focused on supporting enterprise ERP applications and helping maintain a reliable and efficient business systems environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Investigate and technically triage Dynamics 365 F&O; support tickets.
- Debug application and production issues.
- Identify root causes and implement appropriate fixes.
- Investigate whether issues relate to code, configuration, data, or integrations.
- Review and troubleshoot existing customisations.
- Develop and implement technical fixes.
- Support integrations with other business applications.
- Analyse application errors and logs.
- Support change requests and technical enhancements.
- Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders.




- Escalate complex issues to internal or external specialists where required.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend permanent improvements.
- Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.

Essential Experience

- Strong experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Strong hands-on X++ development experience.
- Experience debugging F&O; applications.
- Production support and troubleshooting experience.
- Understanding of F&O; customisations and extensions.
- Experience investigating integration issues.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Ability to independently investigate technical support tickets.

Desirable Experience

- Dynamics AX 2012.
- SQL.
- REST/API integrations.
- Finance and ERP processes.
- ITIL/service management environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale ERP environments.
