Project Title: Facilitating Prevention and Care for TB in Vulnerable Populations through a Community-Based Model Using Cough AI Application

Project Overview:

India continues to carry a high burden of tuberculosis, with significant gaps in early detection and linkage to care, particularly in rural districts such as Nalanda in Bihar. Limited access to diagnostic services, low community awareness, social stigma, and weak referral mechanisms contribute to delayed and missed diagnoses, resulting in continued transmission and poor health outcomes. At the same time, emerging digital health innovations offer an chance to strengthen community-based service delivery and improve case-finding efficiency.

This project aims to demonstrate an integrated, AI-enabled model for TB and respiratory disease screening that combines community engagement, digital diagnostics, and strong linkages with the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP). The primary objectives are to enhance early and accurate TB detection, improve referral and treatment initiation, promote community acceptance of digital health tools, and generate evidence for scalable and sustainable models that can inform district and state-level programming.

Nalanda district, Bihar, India (Digital health consultant- Remotely located- need basis visit to FIND Delhi office)

Digital Health Expert Consultant (01 position part time):

Key activities/Role:

- Develop/Revise project MIS (ODK-based)



for the project that includes routine data monitoring and reporting of project activities (enumeration of population, TB screening, TB diagnostic tests, linkage to non-TB respiratory diseases, TB treatment, TB adherence monitoring, TB outcome).
- Provide technical support during deployment of MIS and offer technical support for the portal related queries/challenges.
- Develop project dashboard using data visualization tool (Power-BI) for real-time monitoring of project indicators.
- Routine monthly review of MIS and Data visualization tool operations and functionality.
- Provide training to field teams (Field coordinator, District Lead, MIS assistant) about the functioning of the project MIS.
- Provide training to MIS assistant for data import/review in MIS (in ODK) and data visualization activities (in PowerBI)
- In case of portal error/breakdown in field at user level (data entry) or supervisor level (data entry, data collation, data review), understand the field challenges and offer solutions.
- Support for digital solutions requirement under the project
- Any other deliverable as per the project requirements in consultation with the line manager

Skills and Experience:

- Post-graduate in IT/Informatics with at least 5 years of experience in developing MIS applications/modules for projects.
- Experience of working with health-related programs will be an advantage
- Understanding of cultural context, team communications
