The DEX Architect owns the technical vision, design, and continuous improvement of the digital experience across the endpoint estate. The role pairs deep Modern Endpoint Management expertise (Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot) with mastery of DEX platforms (Nexthink) and an automation-first approach to proactively measure, diagnose, and remediate experience issues before they impact employees — shifting IT from reactive support to proactive, data-driven experience management.

Key Responsibilities

DEX Strategy & Architecture

- Define and own the end-to-end DEX architecture, standards, patterns, and multi-year roadmap.
- Establish Experience-Level Agreements (XLAs) and a DEX scoring model aligned to persona and business outcomes.
- Turn experience telemetry and sentiment into a prioritized improvement backlog and present insights to leadership.

DEX Platform — Nexthink

- Architect, deploy, and govern the Nexthink platform (collectors, infrastructure, upgrades, and integrations).
- Build remote actions, automated workflows, and self-healing / proactive remediation at scale.
- Design dashboards, live investigations, alerts, and employee-sentiment campaigns; operationalize insights into action.
- Integrate Nexthink with ITSM (e.g., ServiceNow), Intune, and enterprise reporting.

Contemporary Endpoint Management — Intune & Autopilot

- Provide architectural leadership for Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot (incl. Hybrid / Microsoft Entra join) and co-management.
- Own Windows 10/11 lifecycle, application packaging & deployment, and update/servicing strategy.
- Design Conditional Access, compliance policies, and endpoint security baselines.
- Drive Endpoint Analytics and measurable device performance, reliability, and startup improvements.





Automation & Scripting

- Champion an automation-first culture; systematically eliminate manual toil across the endpoint and DEX estate.
- Develop automation with PowerShell, the Microsoft Graph API, and Power Automate.
- Apply AI / agentic automation (Microsoft Copilot, Model Context Protocol) to accelerate diagnostics and remediation.

Governance, Security & RBAC

- Design and enforce Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models across Intune, Nexthink, and related platforms.
- Ensure least-privilege access, segregation of duties, and audit-ready access governance.
- Embed security, compliance, and data-privacy controls into every DEX solution.

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

- Partner with service owners, security, Dex operations, and business stakeholders to align on outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and operations teams; act as the escalation point for complex experience issues.
- Own reference architectures, solution documentation, and knowledge transfer to run teams.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Nexthink — hands-on with remote actions, workflows, dashboards, and self-healing automation.
- Microsoft Intune — strong, demonstrable design and administration experience.
- Windows Autopilot — provisioning at scale, including Hybrid / Microsoft Entra join.
- Automation engineering — PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API in production.
- RBAC & governance — role/scope design and least-privilege access across platforms.
- Windows 10/11 management — Conditional Access, compliance, and endpoint security baselines.
- Experience measurement — translating telemetry into XLAs, scoring, and proactive remediation.
- Experience level — 10+ years in End-User Computing / Modern Workplace, with 3+ years in a DEX or automation-focused architecture role.
