Key Responsibilities

- Integrating test structures: DFT engineers work on integrating specific test structures and logic directly into the chip’s architecture, creating and embedding features like scan chains and Built-In Self-Test (BIST)



modules.
- Developing test methodologies: They are responsible for developing innovative and productive test methodologies to detect potential faults or defects within semiconductor devices.
- Ensuring compliance with standards: DFT engineers ensure that the testability features implemented in semiconductor designs comply with industry standards and protocols.
- Collaborating with design and verification teams: They collaborate with various teams to optimize designs for test efficiency and fault isolation, contributing to the production of high-quality silicon.
