Design Engineer

Location: Vadodara, Gujarat.

CTC: ₹ 6 -7 LPA

Function: Graduate Engineer – Packaging Design.

Industry: Industrial Packaging Solutions.

Role Overview: -

The Packaging Design Engineer will support the design and development of industrial packaging solutions including corrugated boxes, foam packaging, plastic trays, wooden crates, and returnable packaging systems. The Design Engineer will work closely with customers, Sales & manufacturing teams, testing laboratories, and project engineers to develop cost-effective and robust packaging solutions compliant with international standards like ISTA.

Key Responsibilities: -

Ø Design industrial packaging solutions using CAD software.

Ø Develop concepts for: -

- Corrugated packaging.
- Foam cushioning.
- Thermoformed trays.
- Wooden crates & pallets.
- Returnable packaging systems.

Ø Prepare 2D drawings, BOMs, and packaging specifications.

Ø Perform packaging calculations for: -

- Cushioning.
- Compression strength.
- Stacking.
- Load distribution

Ø Support packaging validation as per: ISTA 3A / 3E / 6 Series.
- ASTM standards.
- Customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with production and suppliers during prototype development.

Ø Participate in packaging optimization and cost reduction projects.

Ø Conduct drop test, vibration test, and transit simulation analysis.

Ø Support sustainability initiatives and recyclable packaging development.

Ø Prepare technical reports, presentations, and customer submissions.

Ø Work with cross-functional teams including quality, sourcing, and logistics.

Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and safety norms at all times.





Eligibility & Qualifications: -

B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Industrial, Packaging, Production, or related engineering disciplines.

candidates with 3 to 5 years of design experience in an industrial solution setup.

Strong interest in industrial packaging design and manufacturing-driven solutions.

Required Skills & Competencies: -

Ø Basic knowledge of packaging materials: -

- Corrugated board.
- EPE/EPP/PU foam.
- HDPE/PP trays.
- Wood packaging.

Ø Understanding of packaging test standards.

Ø Familiarity with CAD tools such as: -

- AutoCAD.
- SolidWorks.
- Creo.
- CATIA

Ø Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ø Knowledge of Excel and technical documentation.

Ø Communication and teamwork abilities.

- Palletization.
- Export packaging.
- Automotive or electronics packaging.

Ø Internship/project in packaging development.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹58,000.00 per month
