Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Developer / Analyst with strong expertise in SQL/PLSQL and hands-on experience across multiple database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase, and PostgreSQL.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in complex SQL development, query optimization, data validation, database performance monitoring, production support, and large-scale data analysis. The candidate will work closely with technical and business teams to develop efficient database solutions that support reporting, compliance, and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database scripts.
- Perform deep-dive data analysis on large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data quality issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production databases, Glue jobs, and NLS jobs.
- Perform SQL query tuning and database performance optimization.
- Provide L2/L3 production support for database and data-related issues.
- Troubleshoot production scripts and implement permanent solutions for recurring issues.
- Enhance and optimize production reporting SQL queries.
- Automate manual reporting and database processes to improve efficiency.

Must-Have / Important Skills
- SQL & PLSQL – MANDATORY

- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL and PLSQL.
- Ability to write and optimize complex queries.
- Strong knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, Cursors, Triggers, Joins, CTEs, and Window Functions.




- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing complex database scripts.

2. Database Platforms – MANDATORY Strong experience with one or more of the following, with exposure to multiple platforms highly preferred:

- Oracle
- SQL Server
- MySQL
- Sybase
- PostgreSQL

3. Query Optimization & Performance Tuning – CRITICAL

- Strong experience in SQL query optimization.
- Execution plan analysis.
- Index optimization.
- Performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Identifying and resolving database bottlenecks.
- Experience improving performance of large and complex queries.

4. Data Analysis & Validation – CRITICAL

- Strong analytical skills with large datasets.
- Data reconciliation and validation.
- Identifying data discrepancies and anomalies.
- Data quality and integrity checks.
- Ability to investigate complex data-related production issues.

5. Database Partitioning – IMPORTANT

- Hands-on experience with database partitioning strategies.
- Understanding of partitioning for large-volume datasets.
- Knowledge of range, list, hash, and composite partitioning is preferred.

6. Production Support – IMPORTANT

- Experience supporting production database environments.
- Troubleshooting data and SQL issues.
- Production script monitoring and support.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and permanent fix implementation.




- Experience working in L2/L3 support environments is preferred.

7. ETL / Job Monitoring
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting AWS Glue jobs or similar data-processing jobs.
- Exposure to NLS jobs and scheduled database processes.
- Understanding of ETL/data-processing workflows is preferred.
