Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Science Mentor role based in Kanyakumari district. The mentor will guide learners through core data science concepts, including programming, statistics, machine learning, and data analysis, using a structured curriculum and real-world examples. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering interactive sessions, clarifying doubts, providing personalized feedback on assignments and projects, and preparing learners for technical interviews and assessments.

The role involves designing or refining learning materials, creating problem sets and case studies,



and monitoring learner progress to ensure robust learning outcomes. The mentor will also collaborate with other trainers and the academic team to maintain high-quality content and continuously improve the learning experience.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in data science, including statistics, probability, data analysis, and machine learning.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools such as Python or R, data visualization libraries, and SQL.
- Experience working with real-world datasets, applying analytical techniques, and interpreting results for business or academic use.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, structured, and learner-friendly manner.
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, training, or academic support, preferably in data science or related fields.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong classroom management or group facilitation abilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Comfort working on-site in Kanyakumari district and collaborating with cross-functional academic and operations teams.
- Familiarity with placement preparation, interview patterns, and assessment methods used by top tech employers is an advantage.
