About The Role

GyanSys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join our expanding Data & Analytics practice. This full-time role is based in Bengaluru, Pune, or Hyderabad, with immediate joiners preferred. The ideal candidate will have over four years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions across up-to-date cloud and data platforms.

The role involves working closely with architects, business stakeholders, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to build scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, PySpark, Apache Spark, Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms. They will play an integral role in developing data pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, ensuring high performance, security, and compliance. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.



A minimum of four years of professional experience in Data Engineering or similar roles is required.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are preferred, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and technical excellence.

Experience working with enterprise ERP systems like SAP, along with proficiency in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for enterprise data platforms, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
- Create data engineering solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python, supporting diverse data types and sources.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, leveraging modern architectures such as Medallion and Lakehouse.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric components, including Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows, and Notebooks, to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Develop and fine-tune Databricks notebooks, Spark jobs, Delta Lake pipelines, and Databricks workflows to ensure efficiency and performance.
- Implement modern data architectures, including Medallion Architecture and Lakehouse/Data Platform solutions, to support scalable data management.
- Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems, and SaaS applications, ensuring seamless data flow.
- Design and implement efficient data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and Lakehouse solutions aligned with business requirements.




- Optimize data pipelines, Spark jobs, SQL queries, clusters, and storage for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
- Implement data governance, validation, monitoring, security, and compliance practices to uphold data integrity and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and other DevOps tools to streamline deployment and updates.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance improvements to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate effectively with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to deliver integrated data solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities to promote best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, foster team growth, and contribute to the development of technical standards and methodologies.
