About The Role

GyanSys is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join its expanding Data & Analytics practice. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions across modern cloud and data platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building scalable data pipelines, managing data integration from multiple sources, and implementing advanced data architectures.

Working closely with architects, business stakeholders, data scientists, and cross-functional teams, the Senior Data Engineer will contribute to the development of innovative analytics solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiencies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, and PySpark, within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of four years of qualified experience in Data Engineering or related roles is required.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate,



Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are preferred. Candidates with experience in designing end-to-end enterprise data platforms, migrating workloads to cloud environments, and implementing data governance and security practices will be highly valued. A strong understanding of data modeling, cloud platforms, and modern data architectures is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for enterprise data platforms, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Develop data engineering solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python.
- Build and manage data pipelines for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric components such as Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows, and Notebooks to create integrated data solutions.
- Develop and optimize Databricks notebooks, Spark jobs, Delta Lake pipelines, and Databricks workflows to enhance performance and reliability.
- Implement Medallion Architecture and modern Lakehouse/Data Platform architectures to support scalable analytics solutions.
- Integrate data from diverse sources including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems, and SaaS applications.
- Design and implement efficient data models, data warehouses, data lakes, and Lakehouse solutions aligned with business needs.
- Optimize data pipelines, Spark jobs, SQL queries, clusters, and storage for performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, validation, monitoring,



governance, security, and compliance across all data processes.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and other version control tools.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of team capabilities.
