Key Responsibilities

Bicycle Technical Responsibilities

Perform servicing, inspection, repair, and maintenance of geared bicycles.

Diagnose and fix issues related to gears, brakes, chains, derailleurs, cranksets, cassettes, wheels, and other components.

Carry out gear tuning, brake adjustment, chain replacement, wheel alignment, and basic suspension maintenance.

Conduct pre-ride and post-ride bike inspections.

Prepare bicycles for cycling tours, events, and expeditions.

Ensure all bikes are safe, road-ready, and properly adjusted before every ride.

Maintain tools, spare parts, and technical equipment.

Handle emergency breakdowns and on-road mechanical support during rides.

Cycling Operations Responsibilities

Support the operations team during cycling events, tours, and expeditions.

Coordinate bike allocation, loading, unloading, and transportation.

Maintain records of bicycles, servicing, repairs, spare parts, and equipment.

Assist in route preparation, rider support, hydration setup, and other operational requirements.

Work closely with ride leaders, tour managers, and support vehicle teams.





Provide technical support to riders during events and cycling expeditions.

Be available for fieldwork, outdoor activities, and multi-day cycling trips when required.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of geared bicycle mechanics and components.

Hands-on experience with bicycle servicing and repairs.

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly.

Basic knowledge of different bicycle types and gear systems.

Good understanding of bicycle safety and maintenance.

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to travel for cycling events and expeditions.

Ability to work under pressure during live events.

Preferred

Experience with cycling tours, cycling events, bike rental companies, or adventure travel.

Personal experience as a cyclist or cycling enthusiast.

Knowledge of MTB, road bikes, hybrid bikes, and performance bicycles.

Basic first-aid knowledge will be an advantage.

A valid driving licence is an added advantage.
