Could you be the full-time Costing Engineer - CDS Interiors in Bangalore we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your technical costing expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in shaping cost-efficient designs and fostering a cost-conscious culture within the engineering team. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Engineering Managers, Train Design Engineers, Sourcing Teams), support the development-to-cost way of working, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of creating cost models for product families and evaluating technical costs, but also contribute to design or process improvements to achieve cost reductions.
We’ll look to you for:
- Applying or developing methodologies to calculate the technical cost of components/systems throughout the product development cycle
- Performing cost analysis on components/systems
- Proposing improvements in design or manufacturing processes to reduce technical costs
- Promoting a cost-conscious culture within the engineering team
- Providing detailed cost breakdowns to support supplier negotiations
- Sharing feedback from suppliers and formalizing cost-saving opportunities

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 4+yrs of experience
- Good product knowledge
- Understanding of industrial processes - Metallics & FRP process
- Curiosity and open-mindedness
- Strong communication skills
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Experience with tools like DMA/CATIA and SAP (nice to have)
