URGENT HIRING – CONSULTANT OBSTETRICIAN & GYNAECOLOGIST

POSITION

Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (OBGYN)

QUALIFICATION

- MBBS
- MD / MS / DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Valid State Medical Council Registration

EXPERIENCE

- Consultant: Minimum 2–5 years post-MD/MS/DNB experience
- Senior Consultant: Minimum 8–10 years post-specialisation experience with strong surgical proficiency
- Fellowship in Maternal & Foetal Medicine, Reproductive Medicine, Infertility, Laparoscopy, Gynae Oncology or Urogynaecology will be an added advantage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct routine and high-risk antenatal consultations
- Monitor maternal and foetal well-being throughout pregnancy
- Manage high-risk pregnancies including PIH, pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, GDM, multiple pregnancy, placenta praevia and FGR
- Conduct normal vaginal deliveries, instrumental deliveries and elective/emergency C-sections
- Manage obstetric emergencies including PPH, ectopic pregnancy, uterine rupture, eclampsia and obstetric shock
- Provide comprehensive postnatal care and manage post-delivery complications
- Conduct Gynaecology OPD and manage common and complex gynaecological conditions
- Manage PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, menstrual disorders, PID and menopausal disorders
- Provide preventive women's healthcare including cervical cancer screening, breast health counselling and HPV vaccination counselling
- Evaluate infertility cases and coordinate with fertility specialists when required




- Perform gynaecological procedures including hysterectomy, myomectomy, ovarian cystectomy, D&C;, hysteroscopy and laparoscopic procedures as per expertise
- Manage obstetric and gynaecological emergencies on an urgent basis
- Participate in emergency and 24×7 on-call services
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation
- Ensure compliance with NABH, NMC, PCPNDT and hospital protocols
- Participate in clinical audits, maternal outcome reviews and quality improvement programmes
- Mentor junior doctors, nursing staff and midwifery teams
- Develop and update maternity and gynaecology clinical protocols
- Contribute to the growth of Women & Child Care services and specialty clinics

KEY SKILLS

- Strong expertise in high-risk obstetrics
- Excellent normal and operative delivery skills
- Strong C-section and emergency obstetric management experience
- Good gynaecological diagnostic and surgical skills
- Laparoscopic/minimally invasive surgery experience preferred
- Infertility evaluation and management skills
- Excellent patient counselling and communication
- Solid decision-making and multidisciplinary teamwork
