Reporting To: Sr Service Manager

Job Summary The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for installation support, commissioning, start-up, testing, troubleshooting, and customer training for Piovan equipment and systems at customer sites. The role involves ensuring smooth system integration, achieving performance requirements, and providing technical support to customers in the plastics processing industry.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

- Execute commissioning and start-up activities for Piovan systems, including:
- Material conveying systems
- Drying systems
- Gravimetric dosing units
- Temperature control units
- Chillers
- Storage and central feeding systems
- Verify equipment installation as per approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and site readiness checks.
- Perform functional testing and system validation.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and process-related issues.
- Analyze system performance and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with customers, project teams, and internal departments to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Support production trials and process optimization during commissioning.

Customer Interaction & Training
- Provide operational and maintenance training to customer personnel.
- Offer technical guidance and best practices for system operation.




- Maintain skilled customer relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare commissioning reports, service reports, and site visit documentation.
- Record observations, modifications, and corrective actions taken during project execution.
- Submit project completion certificates and handover documents.
- Update service management systems with commissioning status and reports.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and customer site safety requirements.
- Follow electrical and industrial safety regulations during commissioning activities.
- Maintain proper use of tools, instruments, and safety equipment.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in commissioning, installation, or service engineering.
- Experience in plastics processing, automation, material handling, or industrial machinery preferred.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
- Understanding of electrical panels, sensors, drives, and industrial instrumentation.
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems and process equipment.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&ID; drawings, and engineering layouts.
- Experience in troubleshooting field equipment and industrial automation systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and technical reporting.
