Role Description The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Vellore, responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing all operations of MATHA EDUCATIONAL TRUST - India. The CEO will lead organizational planning, manage financial and operational performance, and ensure that educational initiatives align with the trust’s mission and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include supervising senior staff, reviewing budgets and financial reports, guiding academic and administrative departments, and monitoring the effectiveness of programs and services.

The CEO will build and maintain relationships with educational authorities, partners, donors, and the community,



while identifying growth opportunities and leading fundraising and development activities. This role also involves reporting to the governing board, presenting performance updates, and implementing policies that promote ethical, inclusive, and high-quality education.

Qualifications

- Strong financial and budgeting skills, with experience in Finance and financial oversight in an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Proven expertise in Operations Management, including process improvement, resource allocation, and organizational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability in Business Planning and Strategic Planning, with a track record of setting and achieving long-term organizational goals.
- Experience in Sales, fundraising, or stakeholder engagement, including building partnerships and promoting institutional initiatives.
- Advanced leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire teams and manage diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Relevant master’s degree in Management, Education, Business Administration, or a related field; significant senior leadership experience in education or nonprofit management is highly desirable.
- Commitment to ethical governance, equity in education, and compliance with local and national regulatory frameworks.
