Role Description This is a full-time remote role for Chess Trainers. In this position, trainers will conduct live online chess sessions for children and teenagers, teaching fundamental to advanced concepts including openings, tactics, strategy, and endgames. Trainers will design lesson plans, create practice exercises, and use digital tools and platforms to deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction.

Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing learner levels, tracking progress, providing feedback, and preparing learners for internal tournaments or external competitions.

Chess

Trainers will collaborate with the academic team to maintain consistent teaching standards,



communicate with parents or guardians as needed, and support continuous improvement of course content and methodology.

Qualifications

- Strong chess knowledge, including openings, tactics, strategy, and endgame fundamentals, with experience teaching or coaching learners aged 5–18.
- Ability to plan structured lessons, design practice activities, and adapt teaching methods to different learner levels and learning styles.
- Comfort with online teaching platforms, basic computer skills, and use of digital chess tools and resources.
- Transparent, patient, and engaging communication skills, with the ability to motivate and build confidence in young learners.
- Professionalism in managing classes, maintaining learner discipline, and providing timely feedback and progress updates.
- Prior experience as a chess coach, instructor, or competitive player; FIDE rating or recognized chess certifications are an advantage.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional regional or international languages is a plus.
- Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in any field or formal training in education is beneficial.
