Role Description The Captain Waiter at Studio Fig is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. This role oversees the dining floor, coordinates table service, and ensures guests receive attentive, courteous, and efficient service.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, guiding them through the menu, taking and managing orders, and coordinating with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.

The Captain

Waiter also supervises service staff, supports training, maintains hygiene and service standards, and handles guest feedback or concerns.



This role requires active participation in daily briefings, adherence to studio policies, and collaboration with the team to deliver an elevated, mindful dining experience.

Qualifications

- Strong customer service and guest relationship skills, with a focus on hospitality and professionalism.
- Knowledge of food & beverage operations and food service standards, including menu understanding and basic food safety practices.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating with team members and kitchen staff.
- Basic cooking or food preparation awareness to understand menu components and support guest recommendations.
- Previous experience in a captain waiter, head waiter, or similar supervisory role in restaurants or cafés.
- Ability to lead and mentor service staff, manage busy shifts, and maintain calm under pressure.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to hygiene and quality standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
