Role Description The Business Head (Bioinformatics Industry) will lead the overall business strategy, growth, and operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision and market goals. This is a full time, on-site role based in Pune City, requiring close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining and executing go-to-market strategies, managing key customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities in bioinformatics and related domains.

The role involves overseeing cross-functional teams, guiding product and service offerings, and monitoring financial performance, budgets, and KPIs.

The Business

Head will work closely with scientific, technical,



and commercial stakeholders to optimize project delivery, maintain high standards of quality and compliance, and represent the company at industry events and meetings.

Qualifications

- Strong leadership and strategic management skills, with experience guiding business units or departments in technology or life sciences sectors.
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or key account management, ideally within bioinformatics, genomics, or related healthcare and research markets.
- Solid understanding of bioinformatics concepts, data analytics, and life sciences workflows, with the ability to communicate effectively with scientific and technical teams.
- Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and performance monitoring, including responsibility for revenue growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships across diverse teams and clients.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc, PhD) are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple initiatives, and drive organizational change and innovation.
- Familiarity with regulatory, data privacy, and ethical considerations in handling biological and clinical data is beneficial.
